The Background of Poker Money
Casino chips have been manufactured from a varied range of materials in an almost infinite selection of variations since the birth of betting and the requirement to keep an eye on winnings. The most commonly seen materials employed today in the creation of current poker chips are plastic, clay, and acrylics. Clay chips, the oldest of the group, have been manufactured in the US since the late 19th century.Back in the 19th century, poker players appear to be using any small object with value you can imagine. Early poker enthusiasts occasionally used jagged gold pieces as well as chips - primarily made of wood and clay. By the 20th century, poker chip designs began to play a greater prominence, and the smooth edges of older chips gave way to chips with engraved slits to hold them neatly arranged with each other.
There is little or no doubt that poker has grown steadily in acceptance ever since its origin in the 19th century. With the huge increase of net gambling and specialty television shows, community interest in poker has feed the fire more rapidly than ever before. Most people are first introduced to poker by TV showssuch as "Celebrity Poker" or "Poker After Dark," and most will compete in their initial hands on the net. Despite internet poker's growth, nothing replaces the feeling of mixing heavy clay poker chips in your hand, throwing chips into the middle of a poker table, or creating high pilesstacks of chips after displaying a winning hand.
